Frequently asked questions

1. What exactly do you do?

Think of me as your local helping hand in France. I take care of the tricky (and sometimes baffling!) French paperwork, manage your property when you’re away, and make sure things run smoothly whether you’re here full-time, part-time, or just for holidays.

2. I don’t speak French — will that be a problem?

Not at all. I’ll do all the talking for you — with utility companies, the local mairie, tradespeople, or anyone else. You’ll get updates in plain English, without any of the “lost in translation” stress.

3. Can you help me if I’m not in France?

Absolutely. Many of my clients live abroad. I can handle almost everything remotely — from paying bills and sorting official letters to organising repairs — and I’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

4. How do you look after my property?

I can check in on your home regularly, arrange cleaning, coordinate repairs or improvements, and make sure it’s ready for your arrival (or for guests). I work only with reliable local tradespeople I trust.

5. Can you manage rentals for me?

Yes. I can help advertise your property, manage bookings, hand over keys, and make sure your home meets French rental rules — so your guests are happy and you can relax.

6. Which areas do you cover?

I am based in the North of the Vienne, department 86, looking after homes in the surrounding area. For purely administrative help, I can work with clients anywhere in France.

7. How much will it cost?

I offer a simple and transparent billing solution. I simply charge an hourly rate for time spent working and travelling, if applicable. My time sheets are issued at the end of each month in the form of an invoice. I do not charge a key-holding fee and there is no contractual tie-in. You simply pay me for the work I do, it's that easy!

8. How do I start?

Just get in touch and tell me what you need help with. We’ll have a friendly chat, put together a plan that works for you, and get started.

9. Can you help if I’m buying a French property?

Yes! From liaising with the notaire to setting up utilities and insurance, I can make the buying process smoother and help you settle in afterwards.

10. What happens if something urgent comes up?

If there’s an emergency — like a burst pipe, storm damage, or a sudden issue with guests — I’ll step in straight away. I’ll assess the situation, arrange any immediate help needed, and keep you informed so you can make decisions quickly, wherever you are.
